Your dogs eyes should be clear and bright with no inflammation or discharge. Some breeds do have a slight, clear discharge. This should be carefully remove with a damp cotton pad. A build of discharge around the eyes can harden and cause irritation and soreness. Any pus or excessive discharge may need to be seen by a Vet. If your dogs eyes become cloudy then it may be cataracts which caused blurred vision and can lead to blindness. This needs Veterinary attention.
